See the description for net-snmp bug 1313667 for reproduction steps. For Stratus, we can merely run a breaker test, and I've confirmed that applying the patch for this net-snmp fix fixes the problem.

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release.

Sorry, I did an attachment and it killed my message in progress. The first big release the fix is in is 5.1.4, but the fix was applied to the 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 branches as well. I attached the CVS log of the file to this bug. You can just scan for the bug number. The 5.8.2.9 version is the one that would be along the correct branch for this older 5.1.2 release.
