Please branch and build python-typer for EPEL 9. Feel free to add me (@gotmax23) as a (co)maintainer for the epel9 branch.
The dependency on python-pytest-sugar can be patched out. So can the dependency on python-shellingham, at the cost of the “all” extra (python3-typer+all metapackage), and a few extra skipped tests. I can proceed with an EPEL9 package, and add back in the extra when python-shellingham is ready. I’m happy to maintain the EPEL9 branch, but I’m also happy to have you as a co-maintainer.

(In reply to Ben Beasley from comment #1) > The dependency on python-pytest-sugar can be patched out. Yeah, right. I'm not sure why we have that in Fedora in the first place, as it seems purely cosmetic, i.e. it creates pretty colorized output that we don't even use. > So can the dependency on python-shellingham, at the cost of the “all” extra > (python3-typer+all metapackage), and a few extra skipped tests. > > I can proceed with an EPEL9 package, and add back in the extra when > python-shellingham is ready. > I’m happy to maintain the EPEL9 branch, but I’m also happy to have you as a > co-maintainer.
