The /etc/logrotate.d/samba config shipped with samba-common-4.18.2-0.fc38.noarch only includes /var/log/samba/log.* files, whereas Samba DCs include this config in the kdc.conf used by the spawned MIT Kerberos KDC: [logging] kdc = FILE:/var/log/samba/mit_kdc.log admin_server = FILE:/var/log/samba/mit_kadmin.log Not clear why they're inconsistent, but adding /var/log/samba/*.log to the logrotate config should be sufficient to fix.
