Description of problem: The microtype package included in tetex is version 1.6a from 02/02/05 which has known bugs. Current release is 1.9f of 2006/09/09 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): tetex-3.0-29.fc5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run latex or pdflatex on a file that calls microtype 2. 3. Actual results: Compilation usually aborts with message "Missing endcsname inserted" and needs restarting. Expected results: Compilation should proceed with no error. More recent microtype packages fix this. Additional info: Current CTAN version of microtype is 1.9f of 2006/09/09 and it fixes this problem (earlier versions also did)

The newer microtype should occur in F9 together with the TeXLive distribution (tetex is obsoleted). Considering FC5 is now EOL, closing WONTFIX.
