Description of problem:

The interface of a client machine from em1 to em6. After updating the interface, the below command has run to update the new facts.

# subscription-manager facts --update

1. The facts are updated in the file /var/lib/rhsm/facts/facts.json. 
2. Even the production log is updated with these facts in the satellite server.
3. em6 is updated with the correct IP.

The issue is the primary interface is still em1 and in WEB UI em1 is updated with hostname. em6 is updated with IP but you'll need to manually change it on the satellite WEB UI.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change the primary interface of any host. The interface of a client machine from em1 to em6. After updating the interface, the below command has run to update the new facts.
2. Once done, please run the below command on the host cli to update the new facts.

# subscription-manager facts --update

3. You'll see new facts are updated in the file /var/lib/rhsm/facts/facts.json and the production log of the satellite server.

4. Come back to satellite WEB UI to check if the primary interface has been updated for this client machine, you'll see not updated.

Actual results:

The issue is the primary interface is still em1 and in WEB UI em1 is updated with hostname. em6 is updated with IP but you'll need to manually change it on the satellite WEB UI.

To manually update the primary interface, need to follow the below path.


Hosts -> All Hosts -> Click on the name -> Edit -> Click on the Interface tab -> Change the primary interface or add DNS' -> Remove the hostname from em1 and add a hostname to em6.


Expected results:

It is expected that em6 should be automatically updated as the primary interface and it should get updated with hostname as DNS name from facts update or file var/lib/rhsm/facts/facts.json.
