Description of problem: Since the update to nautilus 44.2, the grid view seems to always be a bit too wide for the window, and is side-scrolling as a result. Selecting an item on the far left and then an item on the far right makes the view jump around. It appears that this is an upstream bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/2980 Apparently the fix for this issue has been pushed to gtk4, which could be backported to the Fedora package: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/commit/099955b0c06dbddc9469bd3c8e63673a3a82883f Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): nautilus-44.2-1.fc38.x86_64 gtk4-4.10.3-3.fc38.x86_64 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open nautilus 2. Navigate to a folder with more items than fit into a single row 3. Switch to grid view Actual results: Folder contents should never scroll side-to-side, only up and down. Expected results: Folder contents scroll in all four directions.
should be fixed with nautilus 44.2.1
Thanks - I've kicked off nautilus 44.2.1 builds.
