The changes that introduced the CVE in econf_writeFile() were added in https://github.com/openSUSE/libeconf/commit/8fb190d40f1759a82e8c7d65183b350ed5679c67, and they were made available in v0.4.2. Fedora is using v0.4.0. Just in case I checked the problem, and it doesn't exist in this version. So, I'm closing this bugzilla as NOTABUG.
