Description Michal Jaegermann 2007-01-04 23:44:43 UTC
Description of problem:

With the current desktop is is enough to start system-config-lvm
and hit "Quit" from a "File" menu. The whole window freezes.
Eventually you will get "... not responding" dialog and with
"Force Quit" bug-buddy kicks in, but a report is usually not telling
very much. Like this one:

System: Linux 2.6.19-1.2904.fc7 #0 SMP Mon Jan 1 23:52:38 EST 2007 x86_64

OTOH if you were doing some operations with this tool before "Quit"
then traces _may_ be possibly more interesting. What got dumped on
me once is attached.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
system-config-lvm-1.0.18-1.2.FC6
dbus-python-0.70-9.fc7
at-spi-1.7.14-1.fc7
ORBit2-2.14.4-1.fc7

How reproducible:
Frozen window on "Quit" looks like given; getting some information
out of that appears to be not that easy.

Comment 2 Bug Zapper 2008-04-03 18:51:23 UTC
Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported
against rawhide during the development of a Fedora release that is no
longer maintained. In order to refocus our efforts as a project we are
flagging all of the open bugs for releases which are no longer
maintained. If this bug remains in NEEDINFO thirty (30) days from now,
we will automatically close it.

If you can reproduce this bug in a maintained Fedora version (7, 8, or
rawhide), please change this bug to the respective version and change
the status to ASSIGNED. (If you're unable to change the bug's version
or status, add a comment to the bug and someone will change it for you.)

Thanks for your help, and we apologize again that we haven't handled
these issues to this point.

The process we're following is outlined here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/F9CleanUp

We will be following the process here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping to ensure this
doesn't happen again.
