Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Lukáš Hellebrandt 2023-06-20 10:42:13 UTC
Description of problem:
When a host owner is changed, the following entry is shown in audit:

<user> update HOST <host> <datetime>
Name  | Old | New
-----------------
Owner | N/A | N/A

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Reproduced on Sat 6.14 snap 3.0 and Sat 6.13.0

How reproducible:
Deterministic

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a host
2. Go to All hosts -> <host> -> Edit -> Additional information
3. Change Owner, submit
4. In the host details, in the bottom right, click All audits

Actual results:
The newest entry is an owner change but without actual user values

Expected results:
The entry should show wo is the original owner and who is the new owner

Comment 2 Adam Ruzicka 2023-06-20 16:17:31 UTC
Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/36522 from this bug

Comment 3 Bryan Kearney 2023-08-29 16:02:54 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/36522 has been resolved.

Comment 4 Brad Buckingham 2023-10-30 11:29:29 UTC
Bulk setting Target Milestone = 6.15.0 where sat-6.15.0+ is set.

Comment 5 Lukáš Hellebrandt 2023-11-30 16:10:11 UTC
Verified with Sat Stream snap 37.0 (6.15).

Using the steps in OP now yields (with default values):

Owner: Anonymous Admin -> testuser

Anonymous Admin is a hidden API user that registered the host. The fact that it wasn't switched to some normal user may be an unrelated bug, I will discuss it with devel and followup accordingly.
