Verification:

1. The RHEL system:

[root@kvm-05-guest29 ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release 

Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.9 Beta (Ootpa)


2. The insights-client version:

[root@kvm-05-guest29 ~]# rpm -qa | grep insights-client

insights-client-3.2.0-2.el8.noarch


3. Check the configuration of unit insights-client.service for the for memory limits and the commands when/after running insights-client.service:

[root@kvm-05-guest29 ~]# systemctl cat insights-client.service | egrep 'Memory|ExecStart'

ExecStart=/usr/bin/insights-client --retry 3

*Memory*High=1G

*Memory*Max=2G

 

4. Check the status:

[root@kvm-05-guest29 ~]# systemctl status insights-client.service

● insights-client.service - Insights Client

   Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/insights-client.service; static; vendor preset: disabled)

   Active: inactive (dead) since Fri 2023-07-21 02:44:57 EDT; 1min 49s ago

As per above steps, we can see the insights-client.service status is good and meets its configuration. So move this bug from ON_QA to VERIFIED.
