I updated from updates-testing daily in a Fedora 38 KDE Plasma installation. memtest86+-6.20-2.fc38.x86_64 was included in an update from updates-testing on June 30. I updated to the 6.3.11 kernel from koji today (July 2). After the 6.3.11 update, I rebooted. There are two Memtest86+ grub menu entries after those updates. The first grub menu entry has shown Memtest86+ v6.20 x86 UEFI since the memtest86+-6.20-1.fc38 update around May 20. A new Memtest86+ (memtest86+x64.efi-6.20) grub menu entry is shown after all the kernels. sudo ls -l /boot/loader/entries shows two Memtest86+ BLS files. -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 57 May 20 15:21 cf0bf479bcf04633b727cb244f663cd7-0-memtest86+-6.20-uefi.x64.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 158 Jun 30 21:59 cf0bf479bcf04633b727cb244f663cd7-0-memtest86+.conf The older file /boot/loader/entries/cf0bf479bcf04633b727cb244f663cd7-0-memtest86+-6.20-uefi.x64.conf should likely be removed by a memtest86+ update. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot a Fedora 38 KDE Plasma installation updated to 2023-7-2 with updates-testing enabled 2. Log in to Plasma on Wayland 3. Start Konsole 4. Update to the 6.3.11 kernel which I did with sudo dnf upgrade https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/200.fc38/x86_64/ker nel-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/200.fc38/x86 _64/kernel-core-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/ 200.fc38/x86_64/kernel-devel-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/200.fc38/x86_64/kernel-modules-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/200.fc38/x86_64/kernel-modules-core-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/kernel/6.3.11/200.fc38/x86_64/kernel-modules-extra-6.3.11-200.fc38.x86_64.rpm 5. Reboot 6. Look at the grub menu's Memtest86+ entries Actual Results: There are two Memtest86+ grub menu entries after updating to memtest86+-6.20-2.fc38.x86_64 and the 6.3.11 kernel. Expected Results: There should be one Memtest86+ grub menu entry.
