Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 222019
Move X from inittab to a init script.
Last modified: 2014-03-16 23:04:50 EDT
Description of problem:
runlevel 5 is hardcoded to start X as seen from inittab .
This does not allow me to restart X whithout switching to init mode 3, or using
killall command , or using ctrl+alt+backspace.
Additionally, this will allow X to be started early on before all the
"non-dependent" services start up.
Use a dm script to start X service.
Attached a dm script from mandriva.
