Description of problem: awscli2 updated bundled dependencies for Python and OpenSSL 2.12.2 ====== <truncated changelog> * enhancement:Python: Update bundled Python interpreter to 3.11.4 * enhancement:openssl: Update bundled openssl version to 1.1.1u It would be good if this version can be packaged and released as an update in stable Fedora 38. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.12.2 or higher Actual results: The currently available release for Fedora 38 is 2.11.18 Expected results: The package will update to 2.12.2 or higher Additional info: Current release available is 2.13.0 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2203325 https://raw.githubusercontent.com/aws/aws-cli/v2/CHANGELOG.rst
I will do this ASAP, first I have to finish the rebase in rawhide (to avoid having newer versions in stable Fedoras) where Python has just been upgraded to 3.12, uncovering a lot of incompatibilities. In the meantime I could rebase to version 2.12.0 (currently in rawhide), if that helps.
A bump to 2.12.0 would be useful, there are other improvements included along the way. Thanks for working on this.
