+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #222836 +++ In the spec file for gstreamer-plugins-good: 1.1 (wtogami 04-Jan-06): rm -f $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{_libdir}/gstreamer-%{majorminor}/libgstgdkpixbuf.so That means that the web browser plugin can't read gif or bmp images (there's a separate loader for png images). Those images are usually used as "splash screens" in Windows Media stream (for example: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358277)
Fixed in 0.10.5-2.fc7.
Any chance to see this fixed in an fc6 update? (and probably needs to go in RHEL5 as well).
Obviously, Bug #222836 is already opened for RHEL5 (I didn't have my coffee yet).
gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.4-3.fc6 has been pushed for fc6, which should resolve this issue. If these problems are still present in this version, then please make note of it in this bug report.
Fixed indeed. Thanks.
