This was fixed upstream in version 1.2.6, which was already released in EPEL via these updates:

EPEL 7 - https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2019-68a9556ee0
EPEL 8 - https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2019-9a0a13306b

The initial version shipped in EPEL 9 was version 1.2.20, so it wasn't affected.
