If I'm reading things correctly 8.14 includes patch https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/commit/4fa70d510c01e5dc9da045ad9383554d860d02a0 which should fix bug #2219424 - Enabling Virtual Desktop makes wine/windows apps fail to launch. Two birds with one stone.
