Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

This is confusing. This is the Satellite "outgoing" communication to itself? You have this everywhere in the network tables, makes no sense.

Hello,
Many thanks for using the Direct Documentation feedback tool for providing feedback for documentation improvement.
The documentation team representative who will take this will share updates about the progress on its implementation in this ticket.
Thank you!

This is something we should address and might require adding additional resources to the documentation like a diagram.

Griffin, can you please explain why the port needs to be open? I'd like to address this issue by adding an explanation somewhere in this section.

While adding a diagram is also an option, this would not be a good place for it. A more suitable place would be in the Overview guide, where we have other similar diagrams: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.13/html-single/satellite_overview_concepts_and_deployment_considerations/index#sect-Documentation-Architecture_Guide-Capsule_Networking
That said, I'm not convinced it would be a good idea to add another beast of a diagram like this one. They tend to be very overwhelming. Please let me know if you disagree.

I'm fine with leaving the diagram out of this section.

Port 443 needs to be open because that is where Satellite and Pulp run. If they are not open, you will not be able to communicate with neither Satellite nor Pulp.
