Description of problem: Even though libpng12 is an active package in Fedora, libpng12 is not available in EPEL. There is an old dependency for Maya (Autodesk) in order to "playblast" using the png Codec but it's available only if libpng12 is installed. We are currently using AlmaLinux9 and the community suggested me to file this request here in order to bring it to EPEL. Reproducible: Always If the current maintainer isn't interested to maintain it in EPEL, I might know someone who is interested.
