Let me know how to checkout/clone the translation and i will take a look at this. Maybe it is not the translation and it is the substitution of the translation in the code itself. Thank you!

Thank you for your bug report!

I've tried starting simple-scan with default language settings (English): `LC_ALL=C simple-scan`. I also tried using it in French: `LC_ALL=fr_FR simple-scan`. Both resulted in the same behavior that you are reporting for the German locale. As a result, I assume the issue is not specific to the German translation, thus I've reassigned this bug report to simple-scan in Fedora.

I could also reproduce the issue with Flathub's flatpak, so I reported it as an upstream issue: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/simple-scan/-/issues/368

In case you need this again, you can find the sources like this:
1. Open Fedora's packages search, https://packages.fedoraproject.org/
2. Search for the package you want to have the source for, e.g. https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/simple-scan/simple-scan/ in this case
3. If you want the latest source, take a look under "Upstream", which brings you to the git repository, https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/simple-scan which also holds instructions for compiling simple-scan.

Comment 3 Christian Stadelmann 2024-08-17 13:28:20 UTC
This issue has been fixed upstream and is no longer present in document scanner 46.0 (simple-scan-46.0-1.fc40.x86_64)
