Description of problem:

I need this crate to package one of python-pydantic-core's dependencies (see https://git.sr.ht/~gotmax23/python-pydantic-core/tree/main/item/deps/tree). Would it be possible to unretire it? I'm happy to review the package or resubmit it myself.
