The most recent version of blender, 1:3.6.4-1.fc38, does not have an option to export to dae format (open collada). The add on for collada is not available in the list of add ons. The option was available in the previous version of blender. This is a big issue for us as we are required to export objects to dae to share with other applications. When I get a copy of blender from the blender website and run it, export to dae is available. The native rpm from fedora does not have it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select an object 2. Choose file -> export 3. The option to export to dae is not visible. Actual Results: The option is not available. Expected Results: The option should be present in the menu.
Hello Kelly, thanks for notifying about the issue. Note that openCOLLADA package is retired on Fedora 39 and up due lack of upstream activity effectively disabling DAE. For the current release, we will bring back the missing functionality in question.
Thank you for the quick notice. Missing export features is a big deal for us, and your attention is greatly appreciated.
