Github WerWolv ImHex issues 1356 0 None closed [Bug] Build failed with llvm17 on gentoo 2023-10-25 12:02:30 UTC

Description Ben Beasley 2023-10-25 12:02:30 UTC
Description of problem:
Package imhex fails to build from source in Fedora 39.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.30.1-5.fc39

Steps to Reproduce:
koji build --scratch f39 imhex-1.30.1-5.fc39.src.rpm

Additional info:
This package is tracked by Koschei. See:
https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/imhex

As noted in https://github.com/WerWolv/ImHex/issues/1356, imhex does not yet support LLVM 17. The obvious solution would be to use the llvm16-devel compat package, but I don’t know how to get CMake to find LLVM-Config.cmake in /usr/lib64/llvm16/lib/cmake/llvm/ instead of /usr/lib64/cmake/llvm/.
