Description Karolina Surma 2023-10-26 13:17:27 UTC
The build fails with:

+ /usr/bin/python3 setup.py build '--executable=/usr/bin/python3 -sP'
/usr/bin/python3: can't open file '/builddir/build/BUILD/gTTS-2.3.2/setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

It seems the latest packaged version doesn't use setup.py anymore. In order to package projects using pyproject.toml, port the package to the pyproject-rpm-macros which are documented in the current Guidelines: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Python/

Reproducible: Always

Yes, known, it's on my todo list, I think it's moved to a new build system.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 40 development cycle.
Changing version to 40.
