 I am proposing this for a blocker bug discussion because a default (and quite imortant) application crashes on certain configurations.

That live iso fixes the problem on my Radeon 580.

The decision to delay the classification of this bug as a blocker and accept it as an "AcceptedFreezeException (Final)" was made as we couldn't come to a clear decision on whether this is a blocker, given it only affects certain hardware. But it is accepted as an FE and nirik says the proposed fix seems to work, so we should be able to fix it for the next compose.

I can confirm that the above fix works and screencast recording is now possible on Wayland without any issues.

Of course, I am talking about my devices with AMD GPUs.

It was incorrect to remove Blocks:FinalBlocker. Adding back in.

With RC1.4, screen recording works on my Radeon 580. Seems resolved.

Sorry about that, thanks for the catch. I've acted as secretary for almost every blocker bugs meeting for the last 7 years, I'm bound to make a mistake here or there.

Can confirm that my previously broken AMD F39 system now works with the above fix.

FEDORA-2023-2f78ed1dd1 has been pushed to the Fedora 39 stable repository.
If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report.
