Description Daniel Rusek 2023-10-31 12:12:12 UTC
Pingus cannot be found in GNOME Software / KDE Discover. It looks like that it has some problem with its AppStream metadata file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the "Software" app.
2. Try searching for "Pingus".

Actual Results:
No results are found.

Expected Results:
Pingus is found and can be installed using the GUI app.

Also, it looks like that the AppStream metadata file got recently removed in upstream for no reason. See the following upstream ticket: https://github.com/Pingus/pingus/issues/198

Comment 1 Daniel Rusek 2023-10-31 12:54:40 UTC
It probably needs this line added to the appdata file:

<launchable type="desktop-id">pingus.desktop</launchable>

Comment 2 Gwyn Ciesla 2023-11-29 22:07:06 UTC
I'll add this to the appdata we manually create from the spec.
