Does this package works on upstream fedora kernel (using the libgpiod interface, see https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/driver-api/gpio/using-gpio.html), or need the downstream kernel for rpi ? (using the deprecated/legacy /sys like interface, specific for rpi https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/admin-guide/gpio/sysfs.html)

Comment 3 Ian McInerney 2023-11-02 15:56:32 UTC
This package is currently just orphaned, not retired, so a new review is not needed for it. Existing packagers can just claim the package. If you are not an existing packager, then you can request sponsorship following this process https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/How_to_Get_Sponsored_into_the_Packager_Group/ (just send an email to the devel list, or make a ticket in the sponsors tracker linked there).

Comment 4 Petr Menšík 2024-02-01 11:01:36 UTC
Let me close this review, the package is already there, its maintainer is Benson Muite (fed500). Please ask him for commit rights if you want help maintaining it.

But so far it seems maintained well enough.
