This changed between 1115.n.0 (731002880 bytes) and 1116.n.0 (808173568 bytes). ~36M of it seems to be down to images/pxeboot/initrd.img within the ISO (*not* within the install.img image) - that's 104M in 115.n.0, 140M in 1116.n.0. The install.img file is 36M bigger in 1116.n.0 (590M) than 1115.n.0 (554M). Those two together pretty much account for the increase. Some of the increase seems to be caused by linux-firmware - it's 22M bigger uncompressed (172M in 1115.n.0, 194M in 1116.n.0). I think the stuff from linux-firmware is in the images/pxeboot/initrd.img as well as inside install.img, so I guess that accounts for ~22M out of the 36M difference in both cases, if we assume the files are compressed already so compression isn't significant. I can't really account for the other 14M (x2 = 28M), annoyingly... There really isn't much we can do about linux-firmware size increases at this point, sadly. It's just going to keep getting bigger unless upstream changes course. We may just have to bump the maxes here.
