Description Pete Zaitcev 2023-11-29 23:23:15 UTC
Please package prusa-slicer-2.7.x
This is needed to support Prusa Mk4.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
No support for Mk4

Expected Results:
Support for Mk4

[zaitcev@lebethron ~]$ rpm -q prusa-slicer
prusa-slicer-2.4.2-7.fc38.x86_64

But I checked Koji too and there's no newer version.

We are aware of the new version; however, AFAIK no prusa-slicer maintainer has that package as it's main focus, and the packaging is decidely non-trivial. I recently managed to get the current version bulding in rawhide again, but an attempt to update to 2.6.1 has so far cost me 2 half-days without and end in sight, and I do not have that much time to dedicate to it.

I will be more than happy to review any PRs submitted, but barring an activity from someone else, I'm not seeing myself working on that in near future.

If you need a workaround, try using the Linux AppImages upstream publishes on their GitHub – they worked for me so far.

Thanks for the answer, I'll see if I can throw together a PR.

If you want this bug closed as wontfix, feel free.
Or we can have it hang around for a release's time.
