Description Ben Beasley 2023-12-03 16:20:04 UTC
Please update python-aioresponses in Fedora 39 and Fedora 38 from 0.7.4 to 0.7.6 by merging “rawhide” to the “f39” and “f38” branches.

I am working on updating the python-aiohttp package from 3.8.5 (stable) / 3.8.6 (testing) to 3.9.1 in F39 and F38. This is a major feature update, but it also fixes two CVE’s; see https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-aiohttp/pull-request/29.

COPR impact testing (https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/music/aiohttp-f39/packages/, https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/music/aiohttp-f38/packages/) shows that this will be a compatible update in general, but python-aioresponses needs to be updated since it is so closely coupled with the implementation details of python-aiohttp.

I don’t see anything concerning in the source diff from 0.7.4 to 0.7.6, https://github.com/pnuckowski/aioresponses/compare/0.7.4...0.7.6, and all of the dependent packages rebuild correctly with the update in COPR.

If you can just merge the rawhide branch into the f39 and f38 branches, I can do the builds and include them in the python-aiohttp update.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Thanks.

Reproducible: Always
