Description of problem: As the maintainer of the deprecated python-cython0.29 package, I'd like to get rid of it. I'm opening this bugzilla to track the migration of python-pyspike to Cython 3. Version-Release number of selected component: python-pyspike-0:0.7.0-9.fc40 Upstream issue: https://github.com/mariomulansky/PySpike/issues/70
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 40 development cycle. Changing version to 40.
I plan to retire Cython 0.29 in Fedora 41 next week. Let me know if I should wait.
(In reply to Miro Hrončok from comment #2) > I plan to retire Cython 0.29 in Fedora 41 next week. Let me know if I should > wait. Go ahead! I don’t quite have a dist-git PR ready, but I looked at this and I understand how to fix it. I’ll have this package fixed in the next few days, at worst. https://github.com/mariomulansky/PySpike/issues/70#issuecomment-1963036485
