Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Lucie Vrtelova 2023-12-12 14:42:15 UTC
Description of problem:

When running a job on multiple hosts, opening that Job overview in WebUI, in the host list, all the subtasks that haven't been run yet are shown to be in state "N/A". In previous versions, it was "planned". I believe N/A is not something a user should see - similar to NULL, unhandled exceptions etc.

How reproducible:

Deterministic

Is this issue a regression from an earlier version:

Yes

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Run a job on two hosts that takes some time to finish, with concurrency set to 1

2. Look at the second host's subtask state

Actual behavior:

N/A

Expected behavior:

Something more descriptive

Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/37082 has been resolved.

Comment 2 Lukáš Hellebrandt 2024-01-31 10:50:54 UTC
FailedQA on Sat 6.15.0 snap 8.0.

The bug is still present and changes done in the PR are not present in `/usr/share/gems/gems/foreman_remote_execution-12.0.2/app/helpers/remote_execution_helper.rb`

Comment 4 Pavel Novotny 2024-02-07 19:22:20 UTC
Verified in Satellite 6.15 snap 9:
satellite-6.15.0-2.el8sat.noarch
rubygem-foreman_remote_execution-12.0.5-1.el8sat.noarch

The status of pending subtask when running on multiple hosts with concurrency=1 is now 'Awaiting start'.
See the attached screenshot for more details.

Comment 5 Pavel Novotny 2024-02-07 19:23:26 UTC
