Please note:

- This is a release candidate and should not be picked up by release monitoring.
- It switches fitz implementations (from "legacy" default to "rebased").

As far as I understand, this would require all users to switch to `import fitz_old as fitz` until we can package the rebased implementation, which in turn requires fundamental changes in mupdf packaging (or bundling mupdf with PyMuPDF, which we shouldn't do).
