Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Gaurav Talreja 2024-01-12 06:52:02 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 6.15.0 snap 5.0

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prepare Satellite with provisioning and discovery setup.
2. Navigate to Hosts -> Discovered Host -> Select host and provision -> Create Host

Actual results:
after provision it still redirects to old Host Details page in WebUI

Expected results:
after provision it should redirects to new Host Details page in WebUI

Additional info:

Comment 1 Gaurav Talreja 2024-01-12 07:43:11 UTC
I check it for another run and it redirects to old host details page whether we customize or create host directly while provisioning discovered host.

Comment 4 Leos Stejskal 2024-01-18 12:36:10 UTC
Is this a regression? I believe it's not, so I suggest to remove it from the 6.15 scope

Comment 5 nalfassi 2024-01-19 12:47:43 UTC
Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/37068 from this bug

Comment 7 Bryan Kearney 2024-01-25 12:02:56 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/37068 has been resolved.

Comment 8 Gaurav Talreja 2024-02-06 08:21:45 UTC
Verified.

Tested on Satellite 6.15.0 Snap 9.0

Steps:
1. Prepare Satellite with provisioning and discovery setup.
2. Navigate to Hosts -> Discovered Host -> Select host and provision -> Create Host
OR
2. Navigate to Hosts -> Discovered Host -> Select host and provision -> Customize Host
3. Try setting "New host details UI" to No, and repeat step2

Observations:
After provision it redirects to new Host Details page in WebUI as expected
Also, now with this fix it depends on setting "New host details UI" which is default to Yes, which will redirect to new host details page and when it is No it'll redirect to old host details page, as expected.
