Hi Tom, Do you have any updates to share on the progress of this change? We are past the Testable deadline, so I am doing a routine check-in on all changes for F40 as we come into the Beta Freeze and early target to see whether the proposed changes are on track or not. Thanks! Aoife
llvm-18.1.0~rc3-1.fc41 was built a few days ago. The retirements didn't happen yet. I guess it's still possible that this will all happen in time for F40; retirements are allowed until the Final Freeze.
Tom, the Change page said that llvm14 and other packages are supposed to be retired. llvm-18.1.0~rc4-1.fc40.x86_64 has been pushed to F40, so the retirements are the only thing that remains to be done. This must happen before the Final Freeze. ETA?
We weren't able to retire all the packages, due to some of them still being used. Here are the ones we did retire: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/llvm7.0 https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/llvm8.0 https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/llvm11.0/ https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/clang14 https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/lld14 The retirements were all done a long time ago, so those packages should not be in F40.
F40 was released on 2024-04-23, so I am closing this tracker. If this Change was not completed, please notify me ASAP.
