Current dependent packages: rust-afterburn : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.13.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.15.0~) rust-maildir : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.14.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.15.0~) rust-python-pkginfo : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.14.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.15.0~) I am working on a package for https://github.com/astral-sh/uv. It asks for mailparse 0.15.0, but I have verified that this can be safely loosened to the currently-packaged 0.14.0. The change from 0.14.1 to 0.15.0 is: Use BASE64_MIME_PERMISSIVE to allow trailing bits in b64 data https://github.com/staktrace/mailparse/commit/595888b12fa6454e1c4630930d22fbd396c9ffc0 We might consider upgrading this at least to 0.14.1 for now, to pick up a couple of bug fixes: https://github.com/staktrace/mailparse/compare/v0.14.0...v0.14.1
Even 0.14.1 requires quoted_printable 0.5.0, bug 2216892.
rust-afterburn : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.13.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.16.0~) rust-python-pkginfo : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.14.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.15.0~) uv : (crate(mailparse/default) >= 0.14.0 with crate(mailparse/default) < 0.16.0~) So rust-afterburn and uv are ready for this update; rust-python-pkginfo is not. If it’s possible to update rust-python-pkginfo to at least 0.6.1 (from the current 0.6.0), with https://github.com/PyO3/python-pkginfo-rs/commit/242d9fb66fad0ba11c69aa1a7c4f3c8d1c709729, then it’s ready too. maturin : (crate(python-pkginfo/default) >= 0.6.0 with crate(python-pkginfo/default) < 0.7.0~) On the other side, considering this would require quoted_printable 0.5.0, rust-mailparse : (crate(quoted_printable/default) >= 0.4.6 with crate(quoted_printable/default) < 0.5.0~) rust-rfc2047-decoder : (crate(quoted_printable/default) >= 0.4.2 with crate(quoted_printable/default) < 0.5.0~) We have a rather old version of rust-rfc2047-decoder, but only python-pkginfo uses it, rust-python-pkginfo : (crate(rfc2047-decoder/default) >= 0.2.0 with crate(rfc2047-decoder/default) < 0.3.0~) so we should in principle be able to update this package (rust-mailparse), rust-python-pkginfo, and rust-rfc2047-decoder together as long as there are no other dependency issues in any of the new versions.
