Description of problem:
Package slick-greeter fails to build from source in Fedora Rawhide.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.0.3-1.fc40

Steps to Reproduce:
koji build --scratch f40 slick-greeter-2.0.3-1.fc40.src.rpm

I have disabled modern c flags to fix the issue.

Thanks for reporting this. The workaround in vala-0.56.14-2.fc40 makes the unchanged package build again.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 40 development cycle.
Changing version to 40.
