libdeflate is IIRC about 2-4x faster than zlib (useful for e.g. COG rasters), and Arrow is an interesting format with pretty wide support. I believe both are already packaged for Fedora. Reproducible: Always
FEDORA-2024-48a6dbe0b3 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 39. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-48a6dbe0b3
FEDORA-2024-48a6dbe0b3 has been pushed to the Fedora 39 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2024-48a6dbe0b3` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-48a6dbe0b3 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
I checked that the Arrow support works and that libgdal.so links to libdeflate.so.0, but I can't vote on Bodhi because https://id.fedoraproject.org/ is down.
