Description Frank Crawford 2024-01-28 11:59:22 UTC
ddclient fails with message:

FAILED: updating : unexpected status (0)
FAILED: was not updated because protocol <undefined> is not supported.

Note, this issue is well documented on the ddclient github site, due to issues as
IO::Socket HTTP code is broken wrt. chunked encoding in v3.10.0

This is mainly logged to get the issue into bugzilla for follow up.

Listed fix is to upgrade to v3.11.0, but a work around is to set curl=yes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable ddclient in systemd
2. Monitor email messages
Actual Results:
Email received with messages:

FAILED: updating : unexpected status (0)
FAILED: was not updated because protocol <undefined> is not supported.

Expected Results:
Update performed and no error emails.

Considerable details on this is in the ddclient github issues.
