Description Fedora Release Engineering 2024-01-29 19:15:56 UTC
dbcsr failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f40

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=112250616

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_40_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix dbcsr at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
dbcsr will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 41,
dbcsr will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Cristian - Can you take a look at this? Thanks.

Comment 5 Cristian Le 2024-01-30 01:49:20 UTC
I think the problem is simply oversubscription. Look at the test times in serial compared to mpi. The issue is that upstream does not set PROCESSORS property, but that can be solved patched easily. Do you know if all koji/copr builders have at least 4 cpus?

Comment 6 Orion Poplawski 2024-01-30 04:00:17 UTC
Pretty sure 4 is a safe bet, but it's probably documented somewhere.

Comment 7 Aoife Moloney 2024-02-15 23:14:10 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 40 development cycle.
Changing version to 40.

Comment 8 Cristian Le 2024-03-12 10:49:27 UTC
Sorry I forgot to submit any builds after https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/dbcsr/pull-request/1. I am not sure if this issue is automatically closed with the recent builds submitted. @orion Can you check up on this?
