Description Abhi 2024-02-01 08:58:36 UTC
Hi all
I tried a pdf conversion and I am unable to view PDF in Chinese font as it is showing in block squares .
Could someone help me as this used to work in my earlier centOS.

Comment 1 Abhi 2024-02-14 09:19:04 UTC
I have used uming fonts , same functionality is working fine with centOS 7 for last few years . we are seeing this issue currently when we wanted to move our conversion jar from centos 7 to RHEL 8.9 . @tianshixiong

Hello,
I am sorry, it's been a really long time.

Firstly, this is not a translation(Fedora Localisation) related problem, so it's out of my ability to handle.

But I hope the following steps may help you troubleshooting the problem, if it persists.

1. Get the name of the programme you use for converting files, are there any font related errors during the conversion?
2. Get the name of the PDF viewing programme you use, did you try another PDF viewer, for example Firefox?
3. Try install other Chinese fonts instead, such as google-noto-sans-cjk-ttc-fonts, and viewing the PDF file again.
