A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Cisco VIC Ethernet NIC Support driver. This issue occurs due to the way some errors happen inside enic_queue_wq_skb and could allow a local user to crash the system.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ethernet:enic: Fix a use after free bug in enic_hard_start_xmit

The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2021-46998 to this issue.
