Re: BuildError: error building package (arch i686), mock exited with status 1; see build.log or root.log for more information. Unfortunately that seems to be a generic failure message without a clue as to the cause. When building for i686 (on ShredOS/buildroot) I found it is necessary to include CONFIG_COMPAT_32BIT_TIME. I don't know if that's the issue here or whether the failure to compile for i686 is something else, but thought I would just mention it.
