Description Tim Landscheidt 2024-03-18 15:49:31 UTC
This package does not work since at least 2009 (bug #521181), i. e. it cannot be used. In total, this has been reported by two (2) users (the latter being me (bug #1531990) because I did not remember that I had commented on the first bug seven years earlier :-)), and another user (1) subscribed himself to a bug.

So even if this package would be fixed, there is clearly no critical user mass to keep it alive and maintained.

Thus, the package should be retired (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Package_Retirement_Process/).

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the reminder!

I have now orphaned the package:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Package_Orphaning_Process/

Feel free to pick it up if you want to.

If nobody picks it up, then it will get retired:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/releng_misc_guide/sop_retire_orphaned_packages/

Comment 4 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2024-03-21 00:10:50 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 5 Maxwell G 2024-05-16 13:24:42 UTC
Automation has figured out the package is retired in Fedora Rawhide.

If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at
https://pagure.io/releng/new_issue?template=package_unretirement
