Description Daniel Osypenko 2024-03-20 13:07:05 UTC
Description of problem (please be detailed as possible and provide log
snippests):

management-console becomes unresponsive when copied name with trailing space or name with several spaces into resource name input, where name validation happens. For example input of BackingStore Name, BlockingPool name, OBC name, etc.

On chrome Version 122.0.6261.129 (Official Build) (arm64) management-console will never reload and popup with "Page becomes unresponsive" appears. On Firefox 124.0 (64-bit) after some time elements get responsive but with sensible lag; Pop-Up with validation icons don't show that name is not valid, but creating resource with such name user will see Regex not passed msg. See video by the link bellow.

No new requests happen on Chrome / Inspect / Network, meaning that issue is in frontend script that blocks the browser.

Can this issue reproducible?
yes, every time

---------

yes

---------

If this is a regression, please provide more details to justify this:

---------

Actual results:
page stop responding. "Page unresponsive Chrome popup appears, proposing to close page or wait"

---------

Expected results:
Validation popup shows that rules violated:

* Starts and ends with a lowercase letter or number: error status
* Only lowercase letters, numbers, non-consecutive periods, or hyphens
User doesn't experience any delays
