Description Lukas Brabec 2024-04-02 09:58:47 UTC
Description of problem:
On Fedora 40, GPU in my laptop (i7-8650U) is not detected, clinfo reports zero platforms, darktable-cltest won't run. GPU is detected on Fedora 39 or with older kernel.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Linux fedora 6.8.2-300.fc40.x86_64
intel-compute-runtime-24.09.28717.12

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run clinfo or darktable-cltest

Actual results:
In case of clinfo:
Number of platforms 0

In case of darktable-cltest:
0.0397 [opencl_init] 0 platforms detected, error: Unknown OpenCL error
0.0397 [opencl_init] FINALLY: opencl is NOT AVAILABLE and NOT ENABLED.

Expected results:
clinfo detects the gpu and darktable-cltest runs properly.
