Description of problem:

screenruler is broken: doesn't apply configuration, keeps a transparent layer on top making it barely visible, does not stay on top of other windows

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

screenruler-1.2-2.fc39.src.rpm

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start
2. only a slightly whitish/grey horizontal line appears
3.

Actual results:

as above

Expected results:

screenruler appears according to setup config

tested. initialization and defaults now working. there's still a kind of semi-transparent on top of the screen ruler making the chosen color barely visible.

I cannot reproduce this. Please test with clean installation, or provide the detailed procedure to reproduce your issue.
