Since 6.8 dropped on F39, clinfo doesn't find Intel platform was was working fine on the kernel 6.7.9. I thought it would be fixed by intel-compute-runtime, which I didn't have installed, but that didn't help. Very confused. Was working fine. Still booting 6.7.9 because of this issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install intel-compute-runtime 2. install kernel 6.8.x 2. clinfo Actual Results: clinfo doesn't find platform. Expected Results: clinfo should show intel platform. I've been having a lot of problems with 6.8, but none were fixed before Fedora started pushing it on F39. Because of these problems, it wasn't able to test intel OpenCL until recently. I wanted to contribute to Intel OpenCL test day, but couldn't get to it in time.

Thanks. Since I installed these updated pkgs (and upgraded to kernel 6.8.8 at the same time), intel OCL has been working. However, power consumption is reduced, which makes me think the new code path is not as efficient? This is a concern, but I guess it is a different issue?
