Legend:
[x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated

The spec file is almost exactly as generated by rust2rpm, greatly simplifying
the review.

+# Manually created patch for downstream crate metadata changes
+# * drop unused, benchmark-only criterion dev-dependency
+Patch:          p256-fix-metadata.diff

 BuildRequires:  cargo-rpm-macros >= 24

The summary is customized to be more useful, and a benchmark-only dev
dependency is removed (an appropriate downstream-only patch); the patch is
properly commented.

Both of these can of course be handled in rust2rpm.toml, if you aren’t already
doing so.

I know that elliptic curves are a patent minefield, so I confirmed that
secp256r1/prime256v1 is listed as allowed on
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:ECC. I am not sure if that list is
complete anymore, but anything that was OK in 2019 should be OK now.

Issues:
=======
- Package does not contain duplicates in %files.
  Note: warning: File listed twice:
  /usr/share/cargo/registry/p256-0.13.2/CHANGELOG.md
  See: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-
  guidelines/#_duplicate_files

  This is not a serious problem; if it needs to be fixed, it should be done in
  rust2rpm.

Thank you for the review!

Yes, I will add a rust2rpm.toml config file when importing the package.

As far as I know, the list on this wiki page is still the authoritative source for this topic.
I know that there have been efforts to allow more elliptic curves in recent years, but I don't know if there has been progress.

The only changes I know of is that the "Brainpool" family of curves are now allowed, and that is not reflected on the wiki page yet:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/legal@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/WUQNAB4EPWSJMMVECL2TZGKB5KIDESII/#ZKZ3EWQGBOIPKOY5X4D33SYNDYCTTH53

I sent a follow-up email asking the page to be updated (it's write-protected in the wiki).
