Spec URL: https://music.fedorapeople.org/fastapi-cli.spec SRPM URL: https://music.fedorapeople.org/fastapi-cli-0.0.3-1.fc39.src.rpm Description: FastAPI CLI is a command line program fastapi that you can use to serve your FastAPI app, manage your FastAPI project, and more. Fedora Account System Username: music This requires python-fastapi to be updated to 0.111.0 or later, https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-fastapi/pull-request/31; that should be done in a side tag with this new package since there is a dependency cycle that needs to be broken by bootstrapping. A successful COPR build, with fedora-review output, is available at: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/music/fastapi/build/7427072/ Regarding the unusual organization of the fastapi-cli and fastapi-cli-slim packages, FastAPI itself is similarly reorganized in 0.111.0, and both are similar to the reorganization in python-typer 0.12.0, https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-typer/pull-request/3, although in that case the “cli” project was also jointly developed and versioned.
CC’ing python-fastapi co-maintainers because I intend to add you as co-maintainers on this package and because I hope one of you will be able to take this review.

[!]: Fully versioned dependency in subpackages if applicable. Note: No Requires: %{name}%{?_isa} = %{version}-%{release} in fastapi- cli-slim , fastapi-cli-slim+standard This seems fine as is since the main package is a meta package. However, I wanted to point out the missing %{?_isa}. Requires: %{name}%{?_isa} = %{version}-%{release}
(In reply to Jonathan Steffan from comment #5) > [!]: Fully versioned dependency in subpackages if applicable. > Note: No Requires: %{name}%{?_isa} = %{version}-%{release} in fastapi- > cli-slim , fastapi-cli-slim+standard > > This seems fine as is since the main package is a meta package. However, I > wanted to point out the missing %{?_isa}. > > > Requires: %{name}%{?_isa} = %{version}-%{release} Such dependencies should definitely be arch-specific whenever possible, but that’s only when an arched (sub)package is depending on another arched (sub)package. In this case, the package is noarch, so we can’t use %{_isa}. It would expand to the architecture of the builder (which is arbitrary for a noarch package) and result in a broken dependency. $ rpm -q --provides -p results_fastapi-cli/0.0.3/1.fc41/fastapi-cli-slim-0.0.3-1.fc41.noarch.rpm fastapi-cli-slim = 0.0.3-1.fc41 python-fastapi-cli-slim = 0.0.3-1.fc41 python3-fastapi-cli-slim = 0.0.3-1.fc41 python3.12-fastapi-cli-slim = 0.0.3-1.fc41 python3.12dist(fastapi-cli-slim) = 0.0.3 python3dist(fastapi-cli-slim) = 0.0.3
