This is a refiling of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2128485, which auto-closed due to f38 going EoL, and I didn't have permissions on that bug to update the version or re-open. On Fedora 40 with the latest grub/etc packages on my Asus Zenbook, I still get a TPM error on boot. Running "rmmod tpm" then loading my grub config allows the system to continue booting like normal. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reboot/boot system Actual Results: TPM error press any key to continue Expected Results: Boots normally.
I still get this too, although I haven't tried to fix it in a while. However, my system boots after the error without intervention. Grub gives an error but says "press any key" and, after a short time, continues on its own. I don't have to do anything.
Thanks for the update. I've re-opened the original bug and will close this one to keep things in a single place with history. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2128485 ***
